Since the day I found out I was pregnant, I dreamed about having my own mini-me. And the day I found out I was having a little girl, I couldn’t wait to live out that dream. Now that my babe has turned into a little girl, I am really living with the little version of me. Seriously, if only I had a dollar for every time someone told me she was my mini me—well let’s just say I probably wouldn’t need a full-time job. If you’ve been following me along my journey as a Mama, you’ll remember my short, but sweet, Mama & Me outfit post series. Matching with Chan is one of my favorite things to do and it’s becoming one of hers as well (insert heart eyes). Whenever we wear anything matching she’ll exclaim “MOMMY!! It’s the same!!”
Over the past few years, more brands have realized how many moms want to coordinate with their littles and have come out with full lines of it. I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you so you could join the fun!
This is probably my favorite collab (and what Chan and I are wearing in the pics on this post!)—FLL launched their Lil’ collection a few years ago and now have a full on Mommy & Me line. I felt like some of the time coordinating with my babe, I was limited on the items to choose from to coordinate. These brands allow you to still wear your cute, flirty, mini dress while coordinating with your little’s pinafores. Oh & boy mamas- they even have little dude clothes for you all too!
There really is just something about Aussie brands- like they are so ahead of the curve. Rather than mimicking their women’s clothes to match their littles, they have full on made mini versions of their women’s clothing. Also, the quality is incomparable.
Calling all boho Mamas—I have always been a Cleobella fan for myself, so you can imagine my excitement when I found they had a little’s line. And if you want my real opinion, summer is right around the corner and this brand if perfect for those summer nights!
Now, a lot of times I don’t necessarily buy matchy matchy pieces- I just try and coordinate outfits that somewhat go together, or more importantly, complement one another. I purchase 90% of both of our clothes from Zara because the women’s line usually compliments the kids. I also shop a lot by color- I know I won’t wear neon pink, so I’m not necessarily going to by Chandler a neon pink dress (unless she begs and it’s the only way I’m going to get her out of Target, lol). But a lot of time’s I’m looking for a white eyelet dress for her at Gap because I just purchased a white eyelet top at Nordstrom. Or on a more laid back day, we both get to rock our Adidas tracksuits (my favorite combo we have).
I’m always on the hunt for more brands, so please share your favorites in the comments! I would love to hear them 😊
