As a mom yours hands have to be free at all times, ready to hold water bottles, baby dolls, or maybe your kid likes to hand you lizards like mine… Anyways, I know most are going to say I’m late to join this party trend but you guys waist bags, belt bags, or God forbid I say fanny packs are my new go-to, mom-friendly bag of choice. When they first came out, I thought they were going to be a fad and I didn’t want to invest in something that was going to go out of style in a year or so. But after I finally found one that I felt fit not only my style, but also my lifestyle, I decided to bite the bullet.
First of all, I have a funny back story about fanny packs. When I was little my parents took my brother and I to Universal Studios and when we got out of the car, my dad clipped on a fanny pack. I remember looking at my mom like “he’s not serious..” and I’m pretty positive that I cried because I was so embarrassed to walk near him. So, I guess I owe my dad an apology & a thank you for the inspiration, lol.
But really, having a 2 year old requires all your attention and definitely both your hands. It’s pretty impractical to carry around a tote full of things you probably aren’t going to use throughout the day and as long as I have my keys, phone, ID & credit card, what can’t I do?
Anyways, I have rounded up all my favorite belt bags below from budget friendly to sell your soul to pay for it. What are your thoughts on the trend?
