Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there! Since today is all about celebrating our Mamas, I thought I would take a different approach on my Mama & Me post. You all know I love matching my babe, but I actually still think it’s super fun to coordinate with my Mama! She is the one that has taught me all about style and fashion and that’s really created such a special bond between us (shopping is our favorite thing to do together, lol).
Ever since I can remember, when people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my response was “my mom.” She’s really showed me what it is like to be a hardworking, caring, genuine Mama. Still to this date, if any of her children need anything she drops whatever she’s doing and comes to our rescue. She showed me the proper way to be a lady and a loving wife. Her lifetime friends have expressed to me what a great backbone to them she’s been. There truly is no one in the world like her.
For Mother’s Day, I asked my Mama a few questions. Now being a mom for over a year, I have faced some really hard times, and some of the best times of my life, so I wanted to hear some of the ups and downs that she faced as a new mom and also get some advice from her!
- What’s your favorite thing about being a Mama/Glam-ma?
Getting together with all of you and hanging out. I also love being able to borrow your clothes and shoes!
- What are 3 things you cannot live without?
My family, my travel and wine!!
- What did you really think about Dad when you first met him?
I thought he looked like a rock star. He was funny and loved to dance and sing, but he got me when I found out he was Italian, I still have a soft spot for Italians.
- In what way do you think I am most like you?
You are most like me in the sense that you are strong and resilient….it takes a lot to put you down and you don’t stay down for long.
- What were you doing when you were my age?
When I was your age I was pregnant with Ashlee, my first child. We were living in Fort Myers and we moved to Tampa when she was 3 months old which was a little bit of a challenge (which you are fully aware of!)
- Looking back on your life now, what are you most proud of?
The thing I am most proud of are obviously my children, how well you are all doing and how close we all are. It warms my heart so much when we all get together as a family, especially now with our three little munchkins added to the mix.
- What’s the hardest thing about being a mom?
The hardest thing about being a Mom is saying NO…..I still have a hard time doing it!
- Most importantly, who’s your favorite child?? ☺ ☺ ☺
My favorite children are Tegan, Atticus and Chandler Moon, of course, because all my children are now adults!
One last thing I would like to add my darling daughter is how much I love you and how proud I am of you. You make being a new mother with a full time job look easy and enjoyable. You make the world, especially mine, a brighter place. You are my sunshine who gave me my little Moon!
